Dykstra Naval Architects brings over 50 years of experience in design, redesign, naval architecture and marine engineering of classic and modern performance yachts and offers preliminary and concept designs for both pleasure and commercially operated yachts. Founded in 1969 by Gerard Dykstra, and now led by Thys Nikkels and Mark Leslie-Miller, the award-winning team at Dykstra is comprised of passionate sailors actively sailing our own designs and redesigns. Using first hand practical experience combined with in-house developed software to provide expertise in spars, rigs, and structural analysis that is current, tested and tried.

Vitters Shipyard is an award-winning boutique Shipyard with focus on sailing yachts only. Vitters‘ yachts explore the oceans of the world and are distinguished by their immaculate finish, innovative sail systems and on-board comfort.
Vitters Shipyard has a crew of dedicated engineers and craftspeople who have a strong eye for detail and the passion to exceed the expectations of its yacht owners. Excellence is achieved as part of the daily routine at Vitters; innovation, finding the right solutions and precise, professional execution is standard practice.
The mentality to prove the opposite of impossible resonates throughout Vitters Shipyard and has done from the day they started. Doing the impossible with a team who have down-to-earth mentality and high level of expertise is what attracted Foundation Zero to work together on this unique project.

Since opening it’s doors in 1961, the yacht design studio of Vripack created a track record for ground breaking industry firsts. Founded by Dick Boom, it’s current owner Bart Bouwhuis and Marnix Hoekstra continue his legacy since 2009,
But Vripack is not your usual design studio. As well as an enviable back catalogue of superyacht projects, the studio has also designed tenders, workboats and ferries. The sum of all these skills is a studio able to turn its hand to anything – and, crucially, conceive a project holistically, from the keel up.
This is what inspired Foundation Zero to kick off its cooperation and take on the courageous project together.
